Alan Winfield left this review about Buck & Hawthorne

The Buck and Hawthorne was a decent sized bare brick built pub that was situated just off Ashtons town centre.
Once inside the pub had a few different rooms, there was a smart and comfortable bar,a cosy lounge plus a small snug.
The pub was a Robinsons tied house, there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Robinsons bitter which was a very nice drink, the other beer was Robinsons mild.
This was a really nice pub with rooms to suit most peoples tastes.
The pub is still standing, but has sadly been converted into other use.
Such a shame that a cracking pub like this has closed down.
