There were a couple of ales on here - Felinfoel Double Dragon and Robinson's Dizzy Blonde, as well as 7.2% Black Dragon cider. I didn't see any sign of food on my Saturday afternoon visit.
This is another out of the way pub in this part of the world, and we only visited because my chum had driven past it on many occasions, and was intrigued to see what it was like inside. I'm like that with every pub I see of course, so I had no problem with accompanying him. You enter into a short corridor, with a small room on the right (public bar by the look of it - contains a dartboard); then through another door and on the left is what looks like a living room - not surprising as according to the landlady it used to be the publicans private living room. There's more seating at the back, which looks as if it's been added on to the pub at some stage.
This is still a simple pub, but it must have been very much simpler still before the publican's living room was brought into pub use, and it was extended at the back. You really need to drive to this one though. But I like these simple unpretentious pubs, so was quite happy having a quiet pint in here.
