Graham Coombs left this review about Manahatta

Never having actually ventured in a Manahatta before, I took the opportunity to try one. Oh dear. Bits of the building look interesting, especially the horseshoe balcony, but it now just contains a vast cocktail bar/club sort of place. Beers? A couple of Brewdog and most of Molson Coors lager range. I am sure if you are a hen party looking to take advantage of the 2:4:1 cocktail offers it is perfect. Otherwise stay away.

Alan Winfield left this review about Banyan Bar

Banyan Bar is a newish bar housed in a old fairly large building.
Once inside you have to go up a few steps to get into the main room, this room is fairly big and oblong shaped with the bar facing, there is a raised area to the front which has bench seating, the lower area has tall tables and chairs to the right and normal ones to the left.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Sharps Atlantic which was a decent enough drink, the other beer was Bombardier.
The pub was packed on my late Saturday afternoon visit with the bright young people of York, making me look a bit out of place.
Not really my sort of pub,but it does stock a couple of real ales which is a plus point.

Old Boots left this review about Banyan Bar

An upstairs and a downstairs room, the downstairs room is split level with seating in tiers and leather booths opposite the counter with the usual high tables. I missed the two hand pulls of boring beers due to bar blockers, the place was almost deserted but they chose to stand in front of the pulls as usual. I made my choice from the 18 keg taps, mostly big brands but not the usual standards, I was still disappointed by the beer and left most of it. Modern styling with a kitchen at one end, constant music and the screens were showing Banyan adverts. Not my idea of fun.
