This is actually the public bar of the Royal Hotel, whose main entrance is around the corner in Main Street, but it has the feel of being a separate pub in it’s own right. It consists of an L-shaped street corner bar/lounge and is obviously very popular across a range of age groups. It’s quite up-market and expensive for Campbeltown, with a pint of Belhaven Best costing £3.50 (higher than anywhere else in the area I visited). Carlsberg, San Miguel and Tennent’s lagers, Guinness and Somerset cider are also available on draught. Definitely one of the better drinking options in town.
