On the Saturday night I came in here, it was more like a disco than a pub. There were stewards on the door and it was filled with (mostly) young people, loud music and bright lights. A sign on the outer window said "No Entry After 12.30 a.m." and it was still going strong well after that when I passed by later.
I called in again on Sunday night and it was almost empty, with only two other customers, one of whom appeared to be the barman's girlfriend. It consists of two adjoining oblong shaped rooms, which are not really a bar and lounge as they're very similar, although a pool table is in the one nearest the door. It's sparsely decorated, with mostly bare walls, a mostly black and white colour scheme and square tables with stools and banquette seating. By the standards of the town, it's on the expensive side, with Caledonia Best at £3.20 a pint. Tennent's lager, Estrella Damm (from Barcelona), Guinness and Magner's cider are also on draught.
