The Stannary Court is a Wetherspoons with a long bar on the left wall that supports standard and premium keg as well as two banks of five handpumps. Bay’s Devon Dumpling and Hanlon’s Port Stout were the only non-mainstream cask options. The rectangular interior is open plan with a few supporting columns down the centre of the pub that break up the seating a little. Out the back is a smoking area and up a few steps is some seating in a patio area. The service was polite, but this is a run-of-the-mill Spoons so not worth going out of the way to visit.

Although this is a shop conversion the building is listed so at least it has a pleasing exterior. Inside it's a more typical rectangular room with a low ceiling. The furnishings are slightly better than average.
There are ten hand pumps which had the IPA version of the JDW Trio Of Doom with Doom Bore and Abbot doubled, the ubiquitous Dartmoor Jail doubled, Hanlons Stormstay, Summerskill Indiana Bones and South Hams Wild Blonde. I went for the Stormstay (£2.29) which was in good nick. This isn't a great Spoons but for a small town one I thought it was fine.
