Blackthorn _ left this review about Portivo Lounge

Another outpost of the ever expanding Lounger’s empire, this one is located in the heart of the popular Gloucester Quay’s development and like many of it’s neighbours is presumably converted from an old warehouse of some sort.

Dual aspect windows make the most of the outlook, with the interior being broadly similar to the company’s other outlets, with several tassled lamp shades as well as old portrait photographs and mirrors on the walls, although not the huge number that you often find as the available wall space here is actually quite limited with all the windows. Flooring is some type of polished dark wood strip, with the walls being a mixture of exposed brickwork, both painted and unpainted, and brown plasterwork. Cast iron support pillars broke up the space a little, and additional lighting was supplied by industrial style bulkhead type fittings. A further seating area was upstairs, and somewhat the reminiscent of a Wetherspoon’s, the loos were up another flight again.

I didn’t study the menu but suspect that it was the same as any other lounge outlet. I was here with some colleagues and we had pre-ordered from their Christmas menu. Everything that we had was, on the whole, pretty good, especially the selection of tapas for starters, and the young waitress who served us was very helpful and friendly.

There were no real ales on tap unfortunately, although I did spot Punk IPA and Dead Pony Club on keg. The solitary cider meanwhile was a rather underwhelming Stowford Press. Overall, much like a Wetherspoon’s, you know what to expect from these places, and if you’re happy with that, then this one won’t disappoint.
