I arrived at Tin Tins as it opened at 17:45 on Friday afternoon last week, which was in fact 15 minutes before the advertised opening time. The interior consists of a small bar that faces some seating and the front, floor to ceiling, windows. To the right is a small DJ corner where music is played until the early hours. Behind the bar are a couple of small seating areas and a death trap flight of stairs that lead down to a dingy toilet. Do not expect to wash your hands!
The bar supports a couple of premium and standard draught options and there is an extensive ‘bomb’ menu. On the wall are a couple of Tim Tin posters that advertise drink deals. Food is not available.
If Tin Tin was real I imagine that he would appreciate the attitude of the friendly barmaid, but the loud pop music and gloomy atmosphere would probably have him reaching for his long tan coat.
