Ludlow doesn't have a Wetherspoons, they'd never allow one round here. So, this is the place that the old boys bring their newspapers and drink their coffees. It was pretty busy when we called in just after 12 on a Monday. It's a very nicely done space with a couple of sofas to the right as you enter and lots of tables and chairs, mainly larger ones seating six to the left. There's also a mezzanine level, but there was some sort of meeting going on. so I couldn't investigate. The brewing kit is to the rear left in full view of all the pub. The bar is to the rear right and has 7 handpumps all serving Ludlow beers. We tried 4 different beers and all were well kept, as they should be in a tap. It's very well run and very friendly, we'll definitely be calling back here next time we're in Ludlow.

A very good brewery tap belonging to Ludlow Brewery. Two levels with a small mezzanine level above the entrance. 7 handpulls all serving Ludlow beers plus 4 fizzpumps for dullness. Plenty of outside seating at the front. Very good.

The old goods shed is all that remains of the Ludlow goods sidings and it now houses the Ludlow Brewery and Tap Room. As you approach from the station the entrance and front patio appears to be the old parcels loading bay but it may be fake as the bay would have been above the level of the rails. Of course, they could have levelled it all out after removing the rails.
Inside it's been converted and modernised to a very high standard with an upstairs seating area to your left as you enter, the bar at the rear right with part of the brewery above and as noted below, a couple of serious looking brewing vessels to the left. There is more of the brewery further back and presumably the pub cellar. The floor is slate tiled and furnishings are a mix of sofas and chunky wooden benches and tables. A really big plus here is that there is no TV Sport. I was surprised how many were in on my late Thursday morning visit with a mix of shoppers, some who looked like regulars and the odd brewery worker. They weren't all here for thee beer as some were on coffee or wine.
There are still six Ludlow beers and a cider and on this occasion a strong Ludlow Whiskey Well served from a cask in the cellar. I tried the Black Knight, Stairway, Boiling Well, Whiskey Well and Best which were excellent. All were £3.00 a pint apart from the Whiskey Well which was £3.30. I've only tried a few Ludlow beers in the past but they tasted great in here, probably enhanced by the hop aroma from the brewing. My Ludlow visit was restricted to this place and I would gladly do it again.

Old Boots left this review about Brewery Tap

A very slick and professionally run brewery tap situated at one end of the former railway goods shed that houses the brewery. The counter with seven pulls is located under the malt store and mill. Next it are the mash tun and copper and a small retail area. The rest of the space is given over to seating at leather sofas, armchairs and chunky but elegant wooden benches and tables, there is also an upper seating level in one corner. Six Ludlow beers on sale plus a cider and a t-bar of keg ciders etc. A collection of albums hold press cuttings, information on the brewery and brewing, and as it's an old railway building a bit of railway porn. Well worth a visit if in Ludlow but check the opening hours.

Ludlow Brewery is situated in a disused railway building, a sort of freight depot that had languished many years unloved before finding a renewed purpose in life. The Brewery Tap has been integrated into the brewery to the extent that drinkers are surrounded by gleaming modern vessels. There is some overflow seating upstairs, and more outside, where a bit of a sun trap was the spot in which I chose to sit with my beer. There's a temporary stand selling cycling equipment, as a local cycling club makes a rendezvous here, putting my unshaven legs and my beer belly to shame.

Beers were all priced at £2.80 a pint, with a range of six Ludlow beers plus a real cider. I really liked it here, and it's handy for the station and opens at 10am daily (except Sunday at 11). Downside is that closing time is 5pm (later Friday, earlier Sunday). Would make a good starting point and meeting place for a pub crawl, for those that way inclined, not to mention a swift one before catching the train.

Soup Dragon left this review about Brewery Tap

A former Victorian goods shed is now home to the Ludlow Brewery. There is an attached 'pub' which also has a patio area outside. The interior is an open plan room with a high trussed roof, which has a balcony level and a small stage area where local youngies were holding an all day music festival at our visit. The decor is brick, cream and red and there a mix of sofas and settles. As Oggy says, the mash tun is on full view. The service was friendly and the place rammed out with the performers and their families. They do large pork pies, too! Beer; the Ludlow range, Best, Blonde, Gold, Black Knight, Stairway and Boiling Well - and all i tried were very good - but then i am a fan of Ludlow's beers. A definite must if in the area.

This is Ludlow Breweries Tap and visitor centre , set in a restored Victorian engine shed only a few feet from the main Shrewsbury - Hereford railway line .
You enter past a small outdoor drinking area and into the large airy bar area with comfortable seating and low tables , the first thing you notice is off to the far left , a large gleaming Mash Tun and matching Copper standing proud in the corner , a low wall lined with brewery merchandise(T-Shirts etc) surrounds them , opposite is more merchandise , this time bottled beer , the bar is at the far end .
There is a mezanine floor , the stairs to reach it are right by the entrance .
Six handpulls on the bar with the full range of Ludlow brews , Best , Gold , Boiling Well , Stairwell and Black Knight all in excellent nick , the other handpull is given over to Westons - Henry Weston Cider , there is one keg tap with rather unusualy Wrexham Lager .
Service was very good , well worth popping into if in the area , or just passing through as its right by the station .
