This place apparently brands itself as a "craft" bar, but it did have four real ales on - which are just as craft as any keg stuff, but I'll drop that issue before I tie myself in knots. The four real ales were XT 4 Mellow Amber, Red Willow Seamless, Pig n Porter Golden, and Caveman Citre, all at £3.80 a pint. There were a dozen or so keg "craft" beers on tap. Helpfully, there was a large chalkboard at the end of the bar counter that listed all the available beers, with ABV and price per pint. I didn't see any sign of food, but I was in mid-afternoon on a Wednesday.

The pub itself looks typically shop conversion. There's a tableau of armchairs and a sofa by the window as you enter; next to this is a table football; the bar counter's on the left facing a trio of tall tables/tall stools, with some normal tables and chairs at the back. There's a bit of outside seating at the front. I guess storage must be an issue as there was a load of casks and kegs in front of the bar counter.

This must be a beer drinker's pub, as there isn't a great deal of warmth or comfort. But it seems to achieve what it sets out to do - provide a range of beers at fairly reasonable prices.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Flying Pig

The Flying Pig is a modern bar that is situated at the end of a row of shops and next to a playground which was full of East Dulwich's yummy mummy's and daddy's.
Once inside there is a long narrow room with a long bar running down the left side, there were tall tables and chairs on the right side, plus one leather settee and chairs to the front, the rear area is down a few steps and opens out, this area had lots of normal tabes and chairs, this area was favoured by diners.
There were 6 pumps on the bar,2 set aside for ciders,i had a drink of Ilkley Gold( £1.75 a half) which was a very well kept beer, the other beers were Brewsters Porter,By the Horns Diamond Geezer and Windsor and Eaton Canberra.
There was a very large choice of keg beers available for those who like drinking cold fizzy drinks.
There was some decent background music playing and the friendly barstaff urged each customer to have a taster which i though was a nice touch.
No TVs or other pub games here.
This was a pleasant enough bar to have a drink in.

Another food led bar but with plenty of space for drinkers.Corner position on a parade of shops it has a small frontage but is a long rectangular shaped bar.Outside seating at the front.Very smart interior and toilets.6 handpumps and 12 keg fonts serving good beer.Lateknights-hairy dog ipa was in good condition.I can see this place getting very busy.

This opened today (26-Aug-2013). It is described as a Craft Beer Pub and BBQ,

This was formerly a Locale bar and restaurant, part of a small chain in SE London.

There are six handpumps and they kicked off with Bristol Beer Factory Milk Stout, Magic Rock High Wire, Moor Nor'Hop, Buxton Moor Top, Dark Star Pale Ale and Sambrook's Wandle.

That's all I know! I would be wary of weekday opening times, although they do have a skeleton website at the moment which I assume will eventually show them.
