Soup Dragon left this review about New Inn

A terraced pub with patio area. It is called the New Inn, so one suspects that it was a late arrival on the scene, but it is a least Victorian, and formed one of a row just down Swan St alone! It is pleasant in its simplicity - a cottage type pub in cream render with coffee paintwork. It has three upper sash windows and two lower ones, flanking the Romanesque doorway. The interior has a couple of rooms. You enter a corridor, with a pool room to the left (in darkness), then the main two-part room is off to the right. This area is in stone and white plaster, and has an old kitchen range as a feature - as well as a rifle on the wall! They do food, and the back part of the room seems more laid out for this - i didn't eat, so can't comment on that. A few photos are on the walls. The TV wasn't on and there was no music. The service was friendly and the clientele mixed, local, and it was quite busy. Beer; usual tap stuff, with Kite's Cwrw Gorslas and Adnam's Broadside on handpull - the Gorslas ran out as they puled it, so i had a decent Broadside. A nice little pub, comfy and friendly. Worth a visit if you are around.
