A slightly unusual pub/bar in as much that it’s on a boat rather than a bricks and mortar building, although these do seem to be coming more popular these days. It consists of both an inside area and outside seating which covers almost the whole of the top deck. This is a pleasant spot to sit and watch the boats or escape from the hordes in all the bars opposite, depending on your viewpoint.

Inside it has wooden boards and orange paint work with blue seats which is an unusual combination. There is a small stage area at one end and several live music acts are hosted, as well as various themed nights such as pizza, film or open mic events. Service at the bar was a bit slow with only one barmaid serving on a busy and very sunny Sunday afternoon.

Beer choice was limited to just Bath Ale’s Gem, but then is as much a cafe/bar type establishment as a pub and consequently there was a far better choice of teas and coffees chalked up on a board next to the bar. Ciders were Bounders and Briska Pear cider. Be aware that the venue can be hired for private events, and as such the opening hours can be unpredictable.
