Large 'Spoon's opposite the station on the end of the shopping street, in the former Tuttle's department store. The main bar feels a bit packed in and enclosed, but there is a more-pleasant and brighter upstairs bar as well. The beer range is fair, with several local ales on offer (fewer upstairs though). Overall quite a nice atmosphere.

This one is named after a Victorian EU migrant who wrote a book called Lord Jim which was about a bloke called Jim who was also a Lord.
As you might guess from the address it's right by the Rail Station and is set in a former department store with two levels. There is a lift to the upper floor but it seemed to have been commandeered for the staff by placing an empty delivery rack in it. The downstairs area is roughly square with a wood floor and slightly better than usual fixtures and furnishings. It was busy on my Saturday afternoon visit with a mix of people.
The bar has two sets of five hand pumps which had the JDW Trio Of Doom doubled up, a Green Jack house beer named after the EU migrant above, Trawlerboys Best & Red Robin and St Peter's India Pale Ale. I went for the St Peter's beer (£2.49) which was in good nick.
It's not a bad Spoons by any means but somehow on a Saturday afternoon I found it a bit dull.

A fairly new and modern Wetherspoon's on two levels. Although this is a modern pub it has a comfortable feel and there was a good selection of real ales. Opposite Lowestoft railway station.
