Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Fair O'Blair (JD Wetherspoon)

Not sure what it was converted from, but it is all pretty standard apart from the horseshoe-shaped booths along the side opposite the counter and the striped lampshades which give an interesting lighting effect. Unfortunately, the beer selection is particularly poor, with just three real ales - Doom Bar, Mordue Workie Ticket and Strathaven Old Mortality 80/- (£1.99) - available from the two banks of five handpumps.

The Fair O' Blair is set in a former pound shop that was a Woolworths prior to that. As such it's an open plan rectangular room with the bar on the left but being less than five years old has better fixtures and fittings than some. There are some green girders supporting the ceiling that look like pieces from a giant Meccano set.
The bar has two sets of five hand pumps but as seems to be the norm in Scotland had only a limited choice. There were four available soon, Orkney Corncrake and Redcastle Nobleman doubled up, Abbot and Orkney Dark Island.
I went for the Dark Island (£2.15) which was in reasonably good nick.
Despite the limited beer choice this one wasn't too bad.
