Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Rock Rose

Very extensive Marston's pub / restaurant, presumably sized because it's close by the A2 trunk road as you pass the outer edge of Dover? Anyway, the various seating / dining areas all have the expected semi-modern furniture and decor, but there is so much floor space it doesn't feel cramped as these places sometimes do. Carvery menu and function room advertised, and patio beer garden tables are also available. Disappointingly, just Pedigree (£4.40, but in reasonable shape) available from the two banks of four handpumps.

E TA left this review about Kittiwake

Built in 2010, this Marston's pub is convenient for the superstores and the Whitfield estate. It's a large open plan pub/diner serving formulaic pre-prepared food which is pretty average. The staff are professional and pleasant, while the manager seems to make a point of speaking individually to each customer - a nice touch, and unusual in such chain pubs. The decor is a bit B&Q, but it's tolerable. There is a variety of seating areas with different arrangements of furniture, which gives the place a more homely atmosphere than you would expect. Four ales on - I had a pint of Pacific Gem, which was ok but suffered from being too cold but was otherwise a decent pint - the pub is in GBG12, it should be added. There is a large car park, a few gaming machines discreetly dotted around, free wifi and a smokers' area to the front, although the latter is too close to the front door. It's actually quite a decent pub to which I would be happy to return.
