Will Larter left this review about The Abbey

This used to be a Barracuda, part of the Smith & Jones chain that rivals Wetherspoons in some parts of the country. Now, according to the website, it's a Party at the Pub venue. I called in to see what was on offer, but the only real ales available were Morland Original (pumpclip: "from the brewers of Old Speckled Hen", i.e. Greene King) and Courage Best Bitter, two of the least interesting beers in the whole of the UK. The barman asked if he could help me. I'm afraid I just muttered something about the less than enticing beer choice and walked out. There's nothing particularly bad about this pub, it's just not my cup of tea.
