Found this Greene King hotel had their IPA but I chose London Glory, a beer I hadn't tried before and also Belhaven Bridge to Nowhere. Both beers fine. Seating mainly high tables and chairs, and rather noisy with TV screens around showing football, but we did find a smaller room with normal table and chairs, I think mainly for diners.

Rather an impressive building from the outside, but within is basically a modern GK circuit pub, wit high tables in the middle and a benched area at the back with a sports TV. 3 GK beers on handpump. Scored an extra point for the enthusiastic bar person and food being half price on Mondays!

Large and featureless grey drinking barn, featuring a thuddingly loud TV with no viewers and a selection of untouched newspapers. Four ales on, 3x GK and Canopy (listless). A grim place; if I went to hell and was sentenced to pub purgatory, this place could be the blueprint.

The ground floor of this previously residential hotel has been transformed into a large, rambling bar for public use. It is largely staffed by amateurs wearing corporate polo shirts and earpieces, pretending they are secret agents, not an attitude that makes you feel welcome. The environment isn't that comfortable, as the noise from the jukebox at the front conflicts with with noise from the large TV screen at the rear, the latter served by sofas and chairs trying to give a home cinema feel and failing. There is a mix of wooden and carpeted floors, and all the building's original (18th century) features have been plastered over. The microwave technicians prepare cheap meal deals which serve mainly to make the place even more characterless. Three ales on - I had a pint of Marstons EPA which was, to be fair, quite good. Free wifi was allegedly available, but logging on was so problematic I gave up. It's worth dropping in as part of a crawl, but with so many decent pubs nearby it's nto worth staying all evening.
