This is quite a plush hotel bar that is carpeted throughout and well furnished. Despite that it still has TV screens, a pool table, darts and a jukebox. The room is L shaped with an extra dining room at the far end.
The bar has three hand pumps which had two unused leaving what looked like a token real ale Rhymney Best (£3.00). This was actually better than I expected but still a fairly pedestrian beer.
This is a cosy place but the draw of all the home brewed ales across the road would probably prevent a return visit.
