Alex Conway left this review about Cross Keys

Traditional pub in the heart of Burton Joyce located at the side of the road on the main bus route around the village. The pub retains a lot of traditional features with low wooden beams and a 60
's style bench seating and caerpeted interior. The pub is served via a semi circle ber in the middle of the main room and the bar alongside a standard draught selection has four hand pulls of which both are repeated. Until recently this was harvest pale and doombar but today's selection had the harvest replaced with London pride. The pride set me back a criminal 3.90 and was pretty crap to be honest, cloudy, warm and a good reason why a lot of people would say why they do not like real ale. Overall quite a nice cosy place with real fire but one I probably would not return to in a hurry because of the poor beer although it list be said probably the comfiest and most pubby of the three Burton Joyce pubs.

Traditional village pub, carpeted throughout, lots of brass ornaments etc. Very busy on our visit, the only let down for me was a limited selection of ales. John Smith cask and Bass on handpump.
