Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Red Lion

Fair-sized pub with a partially opened-out interior retaining two bars, one with a pool table and the other with a further seating / dining area beyond. Semi-modern furniture and decor. Standard Stonegate menu. Three handpumps on each counter, with duplicated clips for Landlord (£2.45), Abbot and Holden's Black Country Special.

Soup Dragon left this review about The Red Lion

This is a detached Stonegate Pubco foody place with a patio area. The building looks 1950s; a winged-corridor type in what is now coffee painted brick. There is a slight nod to the Tudor style. The interior has a large open plan room all around the serving bar area. The pub is mostly given over to dining, but there is a bar area with a pool table and a dart board. The place is in a mix of plain wall (grey, red etc) with different patterned wallpapers. Lots of TV screens adorn the walls with all kinds of things on - especially offers on drinks etc. along with arty pictures and massive Ikea light shades hang down. The background music was general and soft. Beer; usual tap stuff with peroni. On hanpull there were GK IPA, Bombardier and Lymestone Stonecutter. The Stonecutter was £2.29, but with half a coke it came to over £4 - the beer turned out to be on the turn, but i couldn't be bothered to take it back. I left and i can't say i would return. On the plus side - their menu has gigantic steaks for anyone into that and the service was fine. One for the locals, who seemed to be there in abundance, so likely it was just my experience that wasn't the best.
