Halfway between basic and nice which is a feat in itself. Knocked-in U shaped interior and the divide between lounge and public bars is still evident with the left having the sports and noise and the right railway memorabilia. Four pumps with three ales and a cider. Otter Brunel, St Austell Tribute and Dartmoor Jail, the latter being flat and dull (NBSS 2). Cider from Sandford Orchards. Witnessed another punter complaining about the state of the Tribute and it was dealt with badly by the defensive barmaid which soured the atmosphere. Could be much better with a bit of effort. 4.5
