Everything here was much the same as on my last visit, except that prices have gone up. A pint of Tennent's lager now costs £3.20 and Carling lager, Budweiser, Guinness, Belhaven Best, McEwan's 70 Shilling and Strongbow cider are also on draught.

The Florida Park is a nice wee friendly pub situated in the South Side of Glasgow near Our National Stadium Hampden Park. The staff are always smiling and will help you in anyway they can. During match days this pub can be very busy as you can imagine. It's very clean and tidy, seats comfortable. Decor a wee bit outdated Cream and Brown. During the days a place where you can enjoy a quiet pint and join in with the banter from the locals. Weekends a bit busier with Karaoke, Disco's and Live Bands. Recently " Under New Management " and the new owners are hoping to introduce food in the next week or two so please come in and enjoy our menu. Most draught beers on site including Extra Cold Guinness, Tennents, Carling lager, Strongbow Cider McEwans heavy with John Smiths. A great selection of Spirits including Malts etc. and bottled beers. Everything you could ask for in this friendly Atmosphere pub. The staff are waiting to welcome you in and serve you now.

My long ago local, when I lived in Mount Florida in the late 1980s, seems to have changed little since that time, which I intend as a compliment. With the exception of the addition of a beer garden, unattractively located between the car park and the railway embankment, everything remains in the same place that I last found it. The triangular shaped bar room was a necessity in order to fit into the limited space available between the railway and the road for this purpose built pub, which was one of the first to be opened in the formerly “dry” Cathcart parliamentary constituency. The Florida Park offers a wide range of entertainment, with Poker Nights on Thursdays, Open Mic nights on Fridays and Karaoke on Saturdays and Sundays. There are also occasional Quiz Nights. Alcoholic entertainment includes draught Guinness, John Smith’s, Tennents, Carling and Stella Artois lagers and Magners cider. At £2.80 for a pint of Tennents lager, prices are very reasonable for such a good pub in an area which is still not overly endowed with them. This is the closest pub to the Western end of Hampden Park and, being fairly small, gets extremely busy on big football match days.
