Pleasant pub up a hill overlooking Dawlish Warren. At the end of the bar are two hand pulls, round the main length of the bar there are four. On at the time of my visit was Otter Ale, St Austell Tribute and Stumble Bee by South Hams. I went for the Stumble Bee which was rather nice. On keg I noticed Korev Cornish lager by St Austell and Cornish Orchards Gold cider.

This is a large pub with separate sections and great views of the warren even in less than perfect weather. There is a room available for hire and some people were playing bowling in here at the time of my visit.

Looks like the kind of places that does a decent meal well presented.

The pub certainly has a traditional feel, but not in a shabby way. Dark wood, big beams, etc, but clean and comfortable. Mainly older people in and a couple of families on Tuesday lunchtime.

The gents are not as grand as the rest of the pub but were clean enough.

A pleasing looking place from the outside with its rounded turret and the inside lives up to the pub name, with fabulous panoramic views of the Warren and down the coast. The main bar is long and curving and decorated in a way to please my mum and dad, cosy, warm and unthreatening with carpet, black and white beams, a varnish brown log bar front and an 80’s soundtrack. Four pumps with three on, a good local selection in St Austell Tribute, South Hams Stumble Bee and Otter Ale, the latter of which was cool and crisp, and a surprise NBSS 4. In addition there was a proper cider and Korev Cornish lager, so not just the usual suspects. Atmosphere was relaxed and convivial and I could have settled in for a couple quite happily. Maybe I got it at a good time but it felt pretty sound to me. 7.5
