Soup Dragon left this review about Numa Bar

A Victorian red-bricked corner bar, formerly the Little Civic, with some moulded stone work. It has a date stone of 1874. The middle storey has three oriel windows and the ground floor moulded capitals on brick pilasters. The ground floor is also called the Fireball Lounge Bar. The interior of this is an open room supported by central columns. It is as black as a Goth's bedroom and has a wood floor. Comfy seats rule the day, which seemed a little at odds with the loud rock music - but it was decent enough. The service was fine and the clientele of mixed age. A few strange pictures are on the walls and there is a punchbag machine in one corner. I was happy enough to pop in for one, but as you would expect, there is no real ale, or MILD, but what was dispensed from the Banks's Bitter tap was something from Dr Jekyll's lab - i left it. Better when a part of the Little Civic.
