Alan Winfield left this review about The Farmhouse
When i first visited The Mackworth Hotel it was a keg only Bass tied house.
The pub has had a big makeover and been renamed to the Farmhouse.
The main entrance in now on the right side, once inside there is a very large opened out room with different areas, the bar faces on entry and there is a mix of seating types with a few tall tables and chairs and lots of normal tables and chairs, the rear area looks more like a dining area and there is an open kitchen to the rear, there is also a separate function room to the left.
There were three real ales on the bar all from Ringwood,i had a drink of Ringwood Razor Back, which went down well, there was also Boondogle and Old Thumper on the bar.
The pub is very smart and quite upmarket,so it did not really suit me,but must be popular with diners and people using the function room.
