Currently shut up with a 'pub to let' sign laying in the back garden.

I was doing a mining trail round the Wheal Busy Loop, and came across this pub as I was heading back on the final stretch. It is just off the A30 and was open all day, welcome when doing a walk. There is a lovely grassy garden area with tables and an undercover area with comfy sofas also outside the main pub, for smokers I presume, but I was the only one there. 4 real ales on from main breweries, but I must say the Wells Bombardier was in tip top condition.

The above was in June 13 and I called in yesterday while doing a walk to Portreath for a bite to eat and they have a good menu of snacks. The bacon and brie baguette served with chips and salad was superb, as was the Bays Topsail beer.

The above was in July 2014, and we called in on Saturday while on a CAMRA coach trip of the old A30 pubs and had Sharps Sea Fury and Fullers London Pride, both in good condition.
