Food-orientated pub in an old building located in trees between two roads. Along the width of the front a narrow extension has been added which provides some extra space, while inside is a comfortably-furnished bar with eating areas extending off past a small carvery. Outside, the rather vast car park has been partly fenced off to provide an outdoor area, with a grassed garden to the side also. Food appeared to be home-made and good value, although not sampled, but it is far from all about the food as there is a nice row of handpumps with a selection of ales from the Keltek Brewery, and those sampled were very drinkable.

Not a bad little boozer, actually, old coaching inn set back in Scorrier Woods, a hop and a skip from The Plume of Feathers. Okay, okay, a hop and a few skips. Looks to be a good snug winter pub. Wasn't sure about the stuffed fox. Quite cheap, shame about the lack of quality ciders. A nice backwater to enjoy the summer sun in though.
