Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Beefeater The Belgrave

Substantial Beefeater attached to the seafront Premier Inn, this one is perhaps the most pub-like of this chain's outlets since the large bar is separate from the restaurant and there is a covered terrace with an extensive sloping beer garden beyond offering views across the bay towards the harbour. Just Doom Bar and Proper Job available on handpump, but at least it does do real ale (which cannot be said of most places in the town).

A corporate hotel bar in a nice-looking building. Quite large inside and relatively well kitted-out in fairness - clean, tidy and with faint art deco stylings. Two ales, Tribute (pretty good) and Doom Bar. Highlight is the lovely front garden overlooking the seafront. Friendly service from the lads behind the bar who got stuck into our pub crawl itinerary. Hardly a destination venue but has a bit more going for it than the average that this sort of place usually offers.

The Belgrave is a large Beefeater next to a Premier Inn with which it shares a big car park. There is a large picnic covered lawn out the front which is overlooked by a veranda that has nice views of Tor Bay ahead. To the right of the glass fronted entrance is a restaurant with table service and the bar area is located around to the left. There was a hotel bar feel in the bar area, but that is because it is a hotel bar and was full of holidaymakers who were having a late afternoon beer. There is a large plasma screen that was showing muted rolling news and there was no background music.
One of the four hand pumps was unused and the two tribute and one Spitfire pumps were both off leaving a standard draught selection as the only choice. I found the service to be friendly and if I was staying in the hotel I would be happy to use this pub, but I wouldn’t spend an extended period drinking here if there was time to walk to a proper pub.
