No ale available which seemed a bit odd given the location and the comedy Camelot stylings. Would have thought the ale demographic would have been a pretty obvious target for somewhere that has a suit of armour outside the front door.

Camelot advertises itself as a bar and restaurant and although the three other people in attendance early on the recent Wednesday evening I visited were eating I thought that it was more bar like. Some stairs that lead up were curtained off so maybe there is a restaurant on the first floor. The small bar is up some steps at the rear and the standard draught selection is quite limited. There was some background music playing and the two plasma screens were showing muted Champions League football via ITV.

The service was friendly and I’d have no problem returning here, but it isn’t the biggest place so it may get uncomfortable at busy times – especially if full of diners eating the grilled meat which seems to be the speciality.
