Alan Winfield left this review about Riverside Inn

The Riverside Inn was situated on the corner of a busy road junction and was next to the river and bridge that takes you into Hollingworth and Greater Manchester.
This pub looked a lot better from the outside than it was on the inside,i had a drink in a fairly basic room that semed a bit down at heel.
The pub had no brewery signs outside but i took it to be a Whitbread tied house, there were no real ales on the bar and the only bitter was keg Boddingtons bitter which is almost undrinkable so i had a Guinness which was ok.
This pub is still standing but is boarded up and looking in a very sorry state.
