Soup Dragon left this review about Woolpack Hotel

The Woolpack is a hotel, restaurant and pub. A Bateman's terraced establishment, it has several rooms for accommodation. It looks like a Georgian Inn, an elongated yet regular, with 4 upper storeysash windows and a central entrace flanked by two bay windows. It is in white render, with coffee paintwork.

The interior has the restaurant room to the right on entry, which i didn't see. The main bar is to the left. It has a wood bar in the corner, which also serves a lounge behind - the lounge was in darkness, but i think there was a pool table. The bar room is quite bare. It is in a cream and coffee decor (split wall with border), white ceiling and red carpet. There is a small tiled fireplace, a few tables, tired perimeter seating with stools and a couple of prints on the walls. A lot of space was given over to a music/karaoke kind of system, ironically as there was no music on. The service was fine - it had just opened and nobody was in.

Beer; usual tap stuff, with Bateman's XB - which tasted like first pull. There was an XXXB pull, but the clip was turned around.

It seemed to be a place for the young (and actually, not so young) to hit as the local night spot. I wouldn't really go out of my way to go back, there is better beer choice and quality elsewhere in Wainfleet
