Steve C left this review about The Oyster Shed

The Oyster Shed is a long narrow bar with floor to ceiling windows at the front that afford views across the Thames, as does the outside seating that runs along the frontage. A line of high tables and chairs run between the front windows and the bar and to the left of the bar is standard seating used by diners during a recent Wednesday afternoon visit. The television was off with no sign of live sport advertisements and there was some background music playing. Above the rear of the bar is a mezzanine seating area and the toilets are located two floors below. During my walk down I thought I had stumbled into an NCP car park; I will take the lift next time. The bar is stocked with premium keg and supports three hand pumps that were drawing Young’s Ordinary, Sharp’s Doom Bar and ST Austell’s Proper Job. As London bars go this one is decent with polite service.

Much better than I was expecting when viewed from outside. It's a modern bar with a very high roof and a mezzanine above the long bar,so will be noisy. The area to the left of the entrance is designed for diners but the two person tables opposite the bar are for mixed use and have very good river views. There is a narrow terrace outside with more two seater tables.
As you might expect oysters are popular here ,but the short menu does include other options with mains rising from £15.You pay for the location ,but my food was decent. There are three handpumps offering Youngs Bitter,Adnams Mosaic and a very decent St Austell Proper Job.
I would pop back if walking the Thames Path for ale and food that, although pricey, was at least in very good condition.Friendly and efficient serving staff always helps too.

The Oyster Shed is a modern bar in a new building which faces the Thames.
Once inside there is a fairly large L shaped room which has a very high ceiling, the room is bare boarded, the seating settees and puff type stools in the bar area with normal tables and chairs elsewhere.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Youngs Bitter which was a decent enough drink, the other beer was London Beer Factory Chelsea Blonde.
The background music was pretty crap modern type.
There is a lift to go to the toilets, but it is far more interesting going down the stairs, take a look at the walls while going down.
The view from the tall windows is great with the Shard and Thames to see.
I was happy enough having a drink in this pub which was empty before for the dinner time rush.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Oyster Shed

Housed in the shiny Nomura building, this Geronimo Inn has a great riverside location (but is probably not the sort of place you would find by chance unless strolling along the Hanseatic Walk part of the City's riverside path). Bright, modern interior with some distinctly curious decor in the various seating and dining areas (all full of Christmas party groups when I visited) and a narrow mezzanine. Additional seating in the narrow front patio area and the larger side decking zone. Difficult to get the bar because it was so crowded, but there are two banks of four handpumps dispensing Youngs Ordinary, Bombardier, a decent 'house' (Youngs) Christmas Ale and Doom Bar as a guest. Not bad, but I think I'll try it during a quieter period next time.

A Geronimo Inns bar with a great riverside location. The 2 floor bar has excellent views across the Thames to the reconstruction of Sir Francis Drake’s tudor galleon The Golden Hinde and The Shard. Real ales from darkstar, sharp's and young's on my visit. Food served.
