Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Swan on the Square
Nicely modernised pub / restaurant with the light and airy bar overlooking The Square and a slightly elevated dining area at the back. Customer base at lunchtime seemed to be local farmers, but doubtless popular with a younger clientele in the evening. Four real ales on handpump: Ruddles, Abbot, Wye Valley Butty Bach and Hobson's Twisted Spire (£3.30).

Will Larter left this review about The Swan on the Square
A smartly refurbished building, slightly unnecessarily renamed with directions, given that there's only one Swan around here, unless you include Huntington. Bare boards and plain walls with a light green painted bar suggests that the emphasis here is on food, but at the time of my Wednesday evening visit there was no one eating. A choice of three beers on the bar (see photo) and a log fire made for a pleasant half hour stay, spoiled slightly by background music aimed at a much younger age group than all those present.

Now trading as The Swan on the Square. Very much Kington's posh pub: clean and minimal inside, with an idiosyncratic menu...cockle popcorn, anyone?!? Lovely pint of Robinson's Flagon.
