A fine looking pub in brewers Tudor style, set back from the corner and with grassy area and car park in front, it was disappointing to note that it is part of the Sizzling chain. I went in anyway, on the off chance that there was something decent to drink, but there was a solitary Greene King IPA hand pump, so I didn't stop except for a bit of necessary recycling. The gents toilet was clean and can be heartily recommended.

Just like it,s been for years called on the 10th of october M and B asked us to look at this years ago when we were managers for another company knowing we came from Huddersfield and tried to poach us.They told it was going to get a refurb and a lot spent on it but nothing done on it. Its in the sizzling pub company concept part of M and B only a few eating at 1pm on a thursday dinner time it,s tiered and needs a spend on it. But if you eat in pubs and use the big chain pubs you will know that the quality of food is not the same as it was 5 years ago to keep the price the same and get the same G P thats what they are all about now
