A Hydes pub in an interesting old building that has been opened out and modernised with a degree of sympathy. There are some nice features, including stone mullioned windows. My half of Bone Grubber (no, I don't know what it means or why they've named a beer this way) was pretty decent, and one of five Hydes beers available at the time of my visit. I wish I could say the same for the background music, which was varied (or do I mean variable) but almost certainly too loud. Service was friendly, so overall I rate my visit as a 6, but I'm not sure I would make a special effort to come here again.

A very impressive looking Hyde's establishment that was once Millington Hall. This multi roomed pub had a lot of interesting features such as the original sandstone window openings along with the leaded glass windows. Original black oak ceiling beams and tastefully wallpapered areas also added the historical feeling when visiting this pub. Five handpumps with four in use, three of which were from Hyde's and the guest was Wainwright. Prices in here were reasonable and their Hyde's beers were in excellent condition.
