Steve C left this review about Paris Wine Bar

The Paris Wine Bar is a fairly small erm… wine bar… that used to be a cocktail bar called Purple Moon. It was taken over and the name was changed almost a year ago and the owners are aiming at the 30 – 60 year old professional crowd. I’m informed that food is served, but my visit was very late on Tuesday evening so none of the other ten people present were dining and I didn’t see any menus. To the right of the entrance is a huge mirror that is made to look like an arch and it really does make this place look twice as big and busy. The bar is located beyond the mirror on the right hand wall and three hand pumps can be found here. They were pouring Pilsner Urquell, Budweiser and Peroni, the latter of which set me back a couple of quid for a half. My visit coincided with a jazz duo that was making music with their guitar and saxophone. The toilets consist of two cubicles and there is a bench outside them for people to sit on whilst waiting, how quaint! I think that the biggest surprise that I found here was the long patio garden that is out the back and a very nice space for a beer or two.

I’m not a connoisseur of wine and I’m not very keen on jazz so I’ll be drinking elsewhere in the future, but I think that this place does what it does very well and others may appreciate it.
