Alan Winfield left this review about Belmont Tavern

The Belmont Tavern was a very large victorian pub that was on the busy middleton road.
Once inside there were a few different rooms and i had a drink in a smartish room that was carpeted and was also used for people having meals.
The pub was a Wilsons tied house but was branded as a Chef&Brewer pub, there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Wilsons bitter and this was a decent enough drink the other beer was Websters Yorkshire bitter.
This was not really the sort of pub i like doing, but seeing as it was there i went and did it.
The pub is still standing but it is now being used as offices or something similar which is a shame as this area of North Manchester is a bit short on pubs.
