A fairly decent local as described by others, below. There is a car park at the side, while the rear garden was full of smokers and young children when we visited. The garden door was open and smoke was drifting in from outside. A sign on the door makes it clear that dogs are not welcome, which is due to the temperament of the pub dog, an aged collie with mental health issues, rather than any deliberate speciesism. Children are tolerated until 9pm. It feels quite echoey due to the hard laminate floor and lack of soft furnishing, plus the jukebox was making strange noises. The locals and the landlady were quite chatty, and we were certainly made to feel welcome. There is a pool table and several TV screens, though these were off. Ales on draft were Branoc and Tribute, both in good condition. It was a good place to stop for a lunchtime pint but not somewhere to linger for too long.

The Lamb Inn is a short walk uphill from the town centre. It's very much a locals pub where several had gathered on my Wednesday lunchtime visit.

Locals were all sat in a cosy area to the left of the entrance adjacent to the bar. More seating is available to the right-hand side, with a pool table at the rear right, just before access to the garden.

The 2 real ales are St Austell Tribute & Branscombe Branoc. I tried the latter, which was in very good condition. I savoured it partly to kill time with a few of my planned pubs not opening until later in the afternoon or evening.

Very much a locals' pub up a hill out of town with a good range of beers (at good prices) and traditional pub food. The inside probably didn't benefit from being knocked through into one large L-shaped room, with a bar on one side and a pool table round the other. There is also a dining room and a garden at the rear. A bit overwhelmed with TV football on a Saturday afternoon but pleasant enough.

Good selection of Real Ales available with regular guests ranging in strength from session Beer to some stonking 7%+.
Bel the landlady does a great range of food at fantastic prices including Wednesday Pensioners Roast Dinner for less than a Fiver.
