Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Black Boy

Basic estate pub, retaining a two-room layout. Public bar at the front (with pool table), and a larger lounge to the rear (with some fairly proficient folk music-based karaoke underway during my brief visit). No real ale these days, unfortunately, so made do with a quick half of Tetley's (in preference to the John Smith's) before getting back on the nearby tramline. Overall, not the sort of place I'm likely to visit again, but one that you are glad that it's still serving its local community.

The Black Boy looks like a 50s built estate pub that is in the newall green area of Wythenshawe.
I was a bit dubious before i went in here as it had John Smiths signs outside and a to let sign as well.
Once inside there were a couple of rooms and i had a drink in the bar which was decent enough.
The pub was a John Smiths tied house when i went in it and there was one real ale on the bar this was John Smiths bitter and this was on handpump, this was a fairly decent drink.
I think this pub is still open but i dont know what beers are now on here.
