Steve of N21 left this review about Blackwell's

This is not really a pub, more a café come Bistro restaurant that happens to have a functioning bar.
Its formerly the Village club house and takes its name from the Blackwell family, who were the Lords of the Manor in Chipperfield and gave the building to the Village as a Men's and Women's Social Club in 1922.
It was rebranded and reopened in its current guise in 2006. It is open to all, but does have a membership which provides discounts on food and drink.
For the bar section, along with some chrome Lager, Guinness and Strongbow taps there is one of those ghastly chrome North / South Green King IPA taps and one decent real ale pump that had one of the Tring Brewery ales on. But this place clearly functions more as a Café Bistro on an early evening so I didn’t stay for a beer, therefore I won’t rate it.
