Graham Coombs left this review about The Union

Modern bar in the large Paddington basin development, providing a useful source of real ale. Décor is the usual neo-industrial exposed vents and trunking but otherwise is comfortable enough, while the outside seating is useful in warm weather.

Malden man left this review about The Union

A functional uninspiring modern bar/cafe style place next to Paddington Basin. Inside there is a long rectangular space with the bar to one side of the back wall, the frontage is slightly curved. There is an open to view (and smell) food servery next to the bar. High tables all along the front of the bar, booth seating in the front windows and canteen style chairs elsewhere. Full height windows to all three external elevations. The ceiling has an exposed concrete soffit with all the various services and ductwork on show. The name "The Union" is spelled out in large spot-lit lettering on a wall.
Three on handpump, Hog's Back T.E.A., St Austell Trelawney and Caledonian Poltergeist Porter (£4.60) served in a dimpled jug. It serves beer, there are waterside views but overall not much to recommend.
