The Town Gate is situated on a corner plot in the middle of Rotherham.
Once inside there was an iregular shaped room with the bar facing,there were a few tall tables and chairs near the bar,there was some crappy looking american diner type seating to the rear right,there were a few different raised areas around the main room which had more comfortable seating,plus a seperate room which was upstairs.
The pub is a Marstons tied house,but there are no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of keg Pedigree which was a pretty crap drink.
The pub was very quiet on my late Saturday afternoon vist,apart from a few of the landlords or bar staff croneys.
This was a very dissapointing pub to visit.

This Marstons pub in a smart shop conversion promises cask ales on its signage, but once inside we could see only the one naked hand pump, so we turned around and went elsewhere.
