A nice and plain Victorian build that has been massively extended at the back - including a crenellated rear entrance - in wht is a hotel, restaurant and pub. It has a patio area. There are a number of rooms inside. There is a bar room, a pool area and a restaurant room which is where we were. This L-shaped room had a few mirrors and pictures, no TV or music. There were a couple in the bar room, but in all it was a bit devoid of life. Service was OK. Usual tap stuff, with GK Festival Day, Pedigree and a decent enough Westgate Pneumatic on pull. One for a swifty.

The Castle Hotel is an old three storey bare brick built pub that is close to Tutbury and Hatton train station.
This pub was quite nice inside,i had a drink in a smallish room that was very cosy and was the sort of room i could have stayed in longer.
This pub used to be a Bass tied house and there was one real ale on the bar this was Bass and this was a decent drink.
I quite liked this pub.
