Steve C left this review about The Old Swan

A thin alleyway leads up to a decked courtyard with picnic tables and the entrance to the Old Swan. Facing the entrance is the bar counter that supports standard keg and Madri. To the left of the bar is some seating and to the right is a games room with pool table and arcade machines. There are ‘be nice or leave’ signs everywhere so there must have been some trouble in here at some point. This isn’t somewhere I plan to return.

Hidden slightly off the main drag. It seems to have gone downhill as the real ale (if its on) is usually a bit crap. A courtyard mainly for lung cloggers is just outside the bar.

A small fronted pub with the entrance down a side passageway. The long narrow vault has a large TV where most of the Wednesday afternoon regulars were taking a keen interest on the horse racing. One of very few Hydes Brewery houses to serve no Real Ale. A half of Hydes dark smooth was more than enough for my short visit.
