Steve C left this review about Wrexham Cwtch

Wrexham Cwtch is a long open plan pub with seating at the front before a bar counter on the right wall. At the rear are booths down the left wall that face lots of standing room. There’s a pool table at the very back and televisions are found throughout for airing live sport. The bar supports standard and premium keg and the two handpumps badged with mainstream ales were both off. This is a standard boring nondescript bar where the only memorable feature was the rude young barman.

Yet another rebrand. It is now "Wrexham Cwtch". They have resisted the Welsh spelling "Wrecsam" to go with the Welsh word Cwtch. It has hardly changed from its Yates and Crafty Dragon days, parhaps slightly less bright & shiney but showing its age. The cask ales were Tim Taylors Landlord and Doom Bore. I had my £5 ready, wondering if it was going to be enough for "Landlord" in these days of high inflation. I was surprised to be charged £2.50 for my pint! The beer was "passed its best" then I wondered if I would rather have paid £5 for an "on form" pint. The reason for the beer quality became obvious. There were 30 to 40 people in the pub during my stay, but my pint was the only time the handpumps were used, the mainly male punters preferring "foreign!" lagers.

Dire Yates's rebrand. A Wethers-a-like place that makes the rather poor Wethers over the road look good. It's all a bit shabby with horsey nonsense on the tellies. 3 handpulls with only Brains SA on, and a poor one at that. Wrexham ain't great pub wise and this place does nothing to improve it. Go somewhere else if you are here. Crap.

opened on 21 August with a new pizza stove and revamped menu after a £300,000 investment. The venue now provides craft beers and real ales.
