Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Toby Carvery Shenstone Wood End

If it were not for the 'purple peril' exterior paintwork, this would be a reasonable-looking country pub / restaurant. Similarly for the over-remodelled and refurbished interior, although this hardly comes as a surprise from this chain. Usual variety of seating / dining areas around the central servery, plus a large beer garden for the better weather. As sods law would have it, they stopped serving food at 19:00 for staff training on the evening I arrived, but thankfully the manager took pity on a weary pilgrim and sold me a pint of Doom Bar (£3.15, and the only beer available from the three handpumps) before they shut completely.

Soup Dragon left this review about Toby Carvery Shenstone

A detached Toby Carvery with a large beer garden at the back. It is in red, cream and timber frame, with some undressed brick.

The interior is is an open-plan room with a central island of a serving bar and the carvery serving area opposite the entrance which is in fact at the back of the building. There is the usual decor, including patterned wallpaper, blue, brown and cream and there is a nice brick fireplace. I didn't see too much of the interior as we had a drink outside, but there were the usual eclectic range of old photos and other pictures on the walls. The service was fine and the clientele mixed. I didn't see a TV. There was the usual Toby menu, but i didn't eat here so can't comment on that.

Beer; usual tap stuff, with Brew XI, Pedigree and a rather flat Wadsworth 6X on handpull.

A typical Toby Carvery. I dont have too much of a problem with them as they at least put some interesting pictures on the walls. I would pop back a try the food, but the beer needs a bit of a pep-up
