Alan Winfield left this review about The Mill Wheel

The Mill Wheel is a largish bare brick built pub that was converted from other use.
Once inside there was a very large old looking water mill wheel near the entrance after this the main room was quite long and narrow and had a very small bar to the right, the seating was mainly leather settes and comfortable leather chairs, the rear of this room was set aside for diners.
There were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Burton Bridge Stairway to Heaven and this was a very nice drink the other beers were Golden Duck Nosey Parker and Pedigree.
This is quite a plush upmarket type pub and it was almost empty on our afternoon visit, but we were happy enough having a drink in here.
I could see no sign of any water or river that would have been needed to move the large mill wheel in this pub.
