Quinno _ left this review about The Lord Lyon

Attractive-looking foody pub selling a range of Arkells ales and two Westons ciders. Four of the Arkells on during my visit, though neither of those I tried were up to much in my view (priced around £3.60). Set over two rooms, the larger main room is set aside for dining with a small bar behind for drinking. Sat down on the plush-looking seats only to find the padding and springs on the rump had gone AWOL. Some features of note included a nice tiled floor and a wood-burning stove. Was asked twice during my stay whether I wanted more beer, not sure if this was super-friendly efficient service or merely irritating. Desmond was unhappy with the lack of Salt & Vinegar crisps. Sure it’s a nice stop for food but I wouldn’t envisage making a beer-led beeline back again in a hurry.
