Rex Rattus left this review about Toby Carvery Park Place

I popped into this place as I was passing on the way back from the Windmill. As Alan said, it's a sort of manor house - in fact a 17th Century Grade II listed building set well back from the main road, overlooking playing fields and with a fairly large car park. I didn't venture into the restaurant but I'm sure it was like all other Toby carveries in respect of the reasonably priced roast dinners. The bar area is down a few steps to the right as you enter the building, and is still as described by Alan except that there is now no real ale, the best bet being keg London Pride.

You certainly wouldn't want to visit this place for the beer, but on the plus side it is a reasonably priced restaurant in something of a rural setting which is most unusual for London.

Alan Winfield left this review about Park Place

Park Place is a large pub that is set in its own grounds, the pub looks more like a manor house from the outside.
Once inside this pub was very plush and was geared up for diners but has a drinker i was made just as welcome,i had a drink in a large room that was carpeted and had lots of normal tables and chairs, there were other rooms but i did'nt look in these.
There were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of London Pride which was a decent enough drink the other beer was Old Speckled Hen.
This was not really the sort of pub i like to drink in but at least it had a couple of real ales on.
