Aqualung . left this review about Whitehall Hotel

This is a large Marston's pub opposite the Tywyn cinema. Inside it is a large long single room with a pool area as you enter, a good looking darts area further on the left and finally the bar on the left. At the end of the room near the bar is a small carpeted area.
The bar has five hand pumps but only two were in use on my visit with Hobgoblin and Revisionist Red Rye Ale. I went for the Hobgoblin (£2.99) which was not that great as it was warm. This is OK for a game of darts or pool but would seem to be poor for the beer drinker. As one of the larger towns in this neck of the woods Tywyn is something of a disaster area for pubs.
